Pokémon fans furious over Sprigatito's leaked evolution

Pokémon fans furious over Sprigatito's leaked evolution

The evolutions have leaked for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet's Sprigatito - and they're much more cursed than we anticipated.

Today marks the release of the angry man game, also known as God of War Ragnarök, and I am thrilled. In fact, I can see the download on my PlayStation right now - and it’s a glorious sight to behold. With Ragnarök out of the way though, the next major November release is Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.

I already feel very attached to Pokémon Scarlet & Violet and that’s thanks to those very memeable ‘mons you’ve seen plastered across the internet. It’s very hard not to fall in love with a chonky pig called Lechonk, or a bread dog called Fidough. One conversation that keeps cropping up though at GAMINGbible HQ concerns which starter everyone is going to choose. Sprigatito was a popular choice initially, but Sprigatito’s leaked evolutions are, well, unexpected. Some may even say cursed.

Check out our preview for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet below.

The internet is rife with Pokémon Scarlet & Violet spoilers and I’m stating the obvious, but I’ll clearly be discussing Sprigatito’s evolutions in this article so, beware. Sprigatitio is a grass starter with an adorable cat-like appearance and in the past couple of months, I’ve seen plenty of fans create mock-ups of what they think this ‘mon’s evolutions might look like. Many of these were very lovely indeed, which is a far cry from the actual truth.

Twitter account CentroLeaks has revealed that Sprigatito evolves into Floragato which, and I’m sorry that I’m about to say this, is what I imagine Sprigatito would look like as a furry. The Pokémon takes on a two-legged stance and gains the addition of what I can only describe as a yo-yo. I’m presuming it’s a flower. Either way, Sprigatito has evolved from an adorable kitty to something you would probably run away from.

Nothing can prepare you for what’s coming next though. Sprigatito’s final evolution is Meowscarada and this one just makes me sad. We had the potential for feline greatness but Meowscarada looks more like a clown. If Meowscarada had turned up at my birthday party as a kid, I probably would’ve cried. Needless to say, it’s a sad day for everyone who considered picking Sprigatito. I’ll be sticking with Fuecoco.
