Pokémon Has Confirmed Hisuian Final Starter Evolutions And Oh My Arceus

A new trailer has confirmed Hisuian forms of the three starter Pokémon, just days before launch.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is finally going to be upon us by the end of the week, and I’ve got to be honest with you, with each hour that passes, I grow closer and closer to exploding from the hype, and I’m positive that I’m not the only one.

Well, just to throw a few more Mentos into the metaphorical Coke bottle and shake it, a new trailer just dropped on the official Pokémon YouTube channel, and yup, they’re doing it. Just a few days ahead of launch, they’ve confirmed that the Hisui starters, Rowlet, Oshawott and Cyndaquil, will have regional final evolutions. Check it out below...

So yeah, Hisuian Typhlosion, Decidueye, and Samurott are a thing. Unfortunately, they have, of course, decided to do a bit of a tease - opting to show only very brief silhouettes of the three evolutions rather than, you know, actually showing them. You can definitely still make out some details with some well timed pauses, though - Decidueye, for example, seems to be wearing something resembling a traditional samurai straw hat (a kasa), which is neat.

Fans have been speculating whether or not we’d be getting Hisuian forms of the starters basically as soon as the game was announced, so it’s definitely not surprising news, but it’s certainly welcome nevertheless. No doubt this might end up influencing what starters everyone ends up picking on launch day.

The internet is also drowning in various Legends: Arceus leaks right now, which is bound to be either very good news or very bad news depending on your stance on spoilers. On one hand, if you wanna see what the evolutions look like when they’re not shrouded in shadow, I’m positive that you’ll be able to quite easily find out. If you’re like me though, and are avoiding spoilers at all costs, maybe get some key words muted on Twitter now. Or, alternatively, take residence in a WiFi-free bunker for the next few days. That one’s probably safer.
