If you’ve ever wondered what Pokemon would be like if it was as violent as The Witcher, boy do we have a game for you.

If you’ve ever wondered what Pokemon would be like if it was as violent as The Witcher, boy do we have a game for you.

Now you might be thinking that’s the wildest video game collaboration that could ever exist, after all one is about catching little creatures and battling with them, whereas the other sees you slay monstrosities from the deepest pits of hell.

We recently sat down with the cast of the live-action Fallout show for a game of snog, marry, irradiate, take a look at the chaos below

While there likely never be a crossover between Pokemon and The Witcher (but by God there should be) the closest we’ll probably get is the Monster Hunter games.

Monster Hunter is exactly what it says on the tin, a game where you hunt a variety of beasts alone or with your friends, with the more missions you undertake, the stronger you become.

If that sounds like your cup of tea but you don’t know where to start, we’d wholeheartedly recommend checking out Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings Of Ruin, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC.

It’s slightly more beginner friendly than other Monster Hunter titles, with more of a focus on hatching and raising monsters to fight with you rather than attack them by yourself.

You can play a free demo of the game on your Nintendo Switch right now, which should give you a decent idea of what to expect from the full game with a few hunting trips.

All in all the Monster Hunter series is composed of several stellar RPGs, and while you could kick things off with just about any of them, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings Of Ruin is a decent starting point for new players.

So if you’re hesitant about trying the games out for yourself, head on over to the Nintendo Switch store and snag yourself that demo.
