Popular YouTuber Robbed At Gunpoint Recalls "Haunting" Ordeal

Alpharad was out with friends on Sunday morning when they were robbed.

Jacob ‘Alpharad’ Rabon, an extremely popular YouTuber, has explained on Twitter that he was recently robbed at gunpoint. The content creator is known for a variety of content like Super Smash Bros challenges and Among Us games. It seems he was out with friends on the morning of November 14, when the incident happened.

As reported by Dexerto, Alpharad took to Twitter to briefly explain the situation. He says: “Got robbed at gunpoint while out with some close friends at 9 am in broad daylight. we are all okay now, but oh my god. it was haunting. Tell the ones you love that you love them and all that. it’s a terrifying experience thinking you’re potentially seconds away from the end.” It seems though rightly shaken, no one was seriously hurt in the incident thankfully.

Several other large creators have extended their well-wishes following the robbery. Ross O’Donovan and Bruce Greene for example both expressed how relieved they were that Alpharad was okay. “Was prepping for our show when I heard and damn. Man so glad you are OK. Scary sh*t,” says the animator O’Donovan. Greene says: “Yo man I am SUPER glad you and everyone are OK“ It’s one of those situations where it’s purely comforting that someone is okay even when the circumstances are awful.

It’s not clear what was taken from the group at that time, nor is it clear if the perpetrator knew the YouTuber’s work. What is clear is how scary it is that something like this happens, even bright and early on a Sunday morning. Hopefully, in whatever case, the YouTuber and his friends can recover from this chilling episode.

This isn't the first time online content creators have been victims of bad eggs. Streamer Valkyrae recently spoke about how her online accounts were hacked and back in August, Twitch star Amouranth confirmed that somebody tried to burn her house down.
