Red Dead Redemption 2 open world secret discovery is so scary I may never sleep again

With a huge game such as Red Dead Redemption 2, it should come as no surprise that players will be discovering new secrets to this very day, even the scary ones.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was released in 2018, and despite its name, it is a prequel to the equally critically acclaimed release of 2010. In Red Dead Redemption 2, you play Arthur Morgan, a leading member of the Dutch van de Linde gang, of which the protagonist of the original Red Dead Redemption, John Marston is a member.

To say that Red Dead Redemption 2 is a packed game would be an understatement. Whether it's the main story missions, side quests, bounty hunting, fishing and much more, there’s plenty to do in Rockstar Games’ wonderfully crafted open world for years to come. Such as this eerie secret that is so scary, we may never sleep again.

Reddit user meyendhi shared an unnerving clip from Red Dead Redemption 2 of creepy whispering in the woods and we’re not talking about The Walking Dead variety but rather ghostly spirits that lurk in the dark. In fact, you may have heard the whispers yourself and thought nothing of it when you ventured into the woods east of the valley in the Roanoke Ridge region.

The whispering in the woods that you can hear belongs to a deceased couple, namely Eugene Hutton and Ethel Boshared. These whispers can be heard during the day and the night sending shivers down your spine the first time your ears heard those shuddering sounds.

“Roanoke Ridge is sooo creepy. Mangy animals, Murfrees and this,” replied Mining_Master. “I love this part of the map. The Bayou at night is no picnic for its creep factor, yet Roanoke is a place where everything just feels "wrong" no matter what time of day it is,” said Beserker_Lurker.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It’s also backwards compatible with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
