Red Dead Redemption 2 update finally adds something we've been begging for

The latest Red Dead Redemption 2 patch has made a change we've been begging for for ages.

Rockstar has recently rolled out the first update in almost two years for Red Dead Redemption 2 which fixes a long-running glitch of the horse variety.

Red Dead Redemption 2 players were surprised to see an update roll out over the past couple of days making it the first one in over 18 months for the Rockstar title. Although players originally speculated as to what this small update could be, we were finally treated to some patch notes which showed what the developers have been working on over the past few months.

The main fix that comes with Update 1.32 focuses on the stable glitch which saw players struggling when entering stables throughout the map. This problem was first reported in 2022’s September update which saw Arthur getting stuck in stable doorways, glitching through the walls and not being able to leave. With no commands helping, players had to resort to restarting their games which did not always fix it either.

However, Update 1.32 has fixed the long-standing problem alongside a variety of graphical improvements for PC. This includes Fidelity Super Resolution (FSR) version 2.2 now being supported as well as the ability to now play Red Dead Redemption 2 in 3200x2400 resolution.

Stability and performance has also been improved across all platforms which is set to result in less crashes. As for in-game changes, Free Roam Missions will now be less likely to bug out when starting and Naturalist samples will now count towards daily challenges.

With fixes to both Red Dead Redemption 2’s base game and Red Dead Online, it is nice to see that Rockstar Games is still dedicated to improving the much-loved game despite being hard at work on Grand Theft Auto VI. However, that has not stopped fans calling out for some new content.
