Red Dead Redemption 3 concept trailer has an unlikely protagonist

Red Dead Redemption 3 concept trailer has an unlikely protagonist

One fan has made a concept trailer for Red Dead Redemption 3, and it features an unlikely protagonist.

Rockstar Games may not have announced Red Dead Redemption 3, but that hasn’t stopped fans from playing around with the question of ‘What if?’ A new concept trailer is gaining traction online, and it features an unlikely protagonist.

Yesterday, Red Dead Redemption 2 celebrated its fifth anniversary. It’s an undeniably iconic game - and it’s no surprise that fans continue to be delighted by its extensive open-world to this day. It’s an open-world that’s considered to be one of the best examples out there. While it would be nice to see Rockstar release a new-gen patch for Red Dead Redemption 2, many players agree that it remains one of the best-looking games too. Rockstar is busy creating GTA VI so it’s unlikely we’ll get an update on the future of Red Dead any time soon but for now, this concept trailer will keep us entertained.

Take a look at some of our favourite Red Dead Redemption 2 wins and fails below.

The trailer was put together by YouTuber Unreal Concepts using assets from fellow YouTube channel Kerynth, ArtStation users Fabian Bruhin and Michael Gerard, and Dribbble user treelabmx. In the video, we see several dramatic cowboy-hat donning silhouettes, before we glide through a small backwater town and into the wilderness.

Later on, we see a major shootout erupt on a classic western street. I mentioned earlier that the concept trailer features an unlikely protagonist. Well, you may spot Arthur Morgan and if you’ve played Red Dead Redemption 2, you’ll know that - spoiler alert - he dies. With that in mind, it’s unlikely that Arthur would feature in a third instalment unless we went back in time but this is merely a fun concept.

It’s a way to get hyped about the general idea of what could be. “Can’t wait until it’s reality,” said one viewer, while another added, “For a concept, I applaud you.”
