Red Dead Redemption 2 Arthur Morgan's canonical kill number confirms a horrifying body count

Red Dead Redemption 2 Arthur Morgan's canonical kill number confirms a horrifying body count

Yet, we still love Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2

When it comes to Rockstar Games, having loads of violence and huge kill counts is nothing new, unless we’re talking about that table tennis game. Nobody died in that game, right?

However, when it comes to the likes of Grand Theft Auto or Red Dead Redemption, it’s practically impossible not to kill an ungodly amount of NPCs. But how many NPCs have lost their lives and never returned to their NPC families? Thanksgiving has never been quite the same at the random GTA Vice City NPC roller skating lady’s dinner table. May she rest in peace.

Check out the Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer below!

That being said, have you ever wondered how many NPCs that Red Dead Redemption 2 protagonist, Arthur Morgan has killed throughout the story campaign? No, well, I’m going to tell you anyway.

The Reddit user xoogavin believes that they know the canonical kill number for Arthur Morgan per chapter and if the combined number is true, Arthur Morgan really is a genocidal murderer. But we still love him, that charming so and so.

It must be stated that this apparent kill count number does not include random NPCs that were just minding their business before they were brutally murdered by Arthur or killed via Stranger Missions. It only includes those NPCs that are tied to the main story of Red Dead Redemption 2.

Broken down over the six main chapters of Red Dead Redemption 2, it is believed that Arthur Morgan has killed an estimated 50, 120, 226, 174, 175 and 404 NPCs. This brings the total to a whopping 1,149 murdered NPCs. Of course, that number might not be an exact count but it is possibly in the same ballpark.

I wonder how many NPCs Michael, Franklin and Trevor have killed in GTA V? Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. What’s more, it’s also backwards compatible with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
