I never thought I'd see the day, but the Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield Spider-Men have received official Marvel Cinematic Universe designations. They are now, for all intents and purposes, part of Marvel's mighty shared universe!
The past Peter Parkers joined our incumbent webslinger Tom Holland for the thrilling climax of Spider-Man: No Way Home, where the three teamed up to cure their respective villains and send them back to where they came from.
While Maguire and Garfield obviously popped back off to their respective universes after the battle, the MCU has officially named the heroes.

The official Marvel website recently uploaded official character pages for the variant Spider-Men, who in No Way Home were simply nicknamed "Peter Two" (Maguire) and "Peter Three (Garfield). Their official designations are much cooler, though. As per Marvel, Maguire's Spider-Man is our "Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man", while Garfield is, of course, "The Amazing Spider-Man". Both Spideys also got some sweet new character art too, which you can check out via the respective links.
This doesn't necessarily mean we'll see either of the characters again, but it's a cool way to differentiate the variants from Holland's Spider-Man that enshrines their brief visit to the MCU.
I should also point out that there are rumblings Sony is planning to bring back Andrew Garfield for future Spider-Man projects, which would certainly go down a treat with the fans who have spent the last week eagerly campaigning for The Amazing Spider-Man 3. Watch this space, True Believers.
