It's no secret that Andrew Garfield's two Spider-Man movies are among the worst-regarded superhero adventures ever made.
While The Amazing Spider-Man showed signs of promise and a new, darker direction for the webhead, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was a bloated mess that flopped so hard Sony had to go to Marvel and ask them to help reboot the character yet again.
As bad as those movies might be, few would disagree that Andrew Garfield made an excellent Spidey.

That's why it was such a treat to see him back in the webs for Spider-Man: No Way Home, an glorious appearance that left such an impression on fans that there are growing calls for Garfield to finish his own trilogy in The Amazing Spider-Man 3. Just with different writers, hopefully.
While nothing is set in stone yet, the current Spidey - Tom Holland - has joined the ranks of Garfield fans clamouring for The Amazing Spider-Man 3.
"I would love to see The Amazing Spider-Man 3," Holland told ComicBook.com while promoting the upcoming Uncharted movie. "I think what was so wonderful was how Andrew was able to kind of make amends with the character and the studio, you know, to kind of win the general public back."

Garfield himself has also indicted he'd be up for coming back, provided the story was right.
“I mean, yes, definitely open to something if it felt right," Garfield said in an interview with Variety. "Peter and Spider-Man, those characters are all about service, to the greater good and the many. He’s a working-class boy from Queens that knows struggle and loss and is deeply empathetic. I would try to borrow Peter Parker’s ethical framework in that, if there was an opportunity to step back in and tell more of that story, I would have to feel very sure and certain in myself.”
