Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls series is one of the most popular fantasy RPGs of all time yet despite this, it’s perhaps hard to believe that it’s been going strong since its inception 30 years ago in 1994.
For many, fan's introduction to this series was with The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind in 2002, which just so happens to be mine too. However, it’s also fair to say that this series hit its peak of popularity with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion in 2006 followed by the goliath that is Skyrim in 2011.

The topic of today’s discussion is all about the cult classic The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and right now, fans of the Bethesda fantasy RPG can experience the massive free download ‘Rebirth’ which just received its latest update and is available via moddb.com.

“An epic, open-ended single-player RPG, Morrowind allows you to create and play any kind of character imaginable. You can choose to follow the main storyline and find the source of the evil blight that plagues the land, or set off on your own to explore strange locations and develop your character based on their actions throughout the game,” reads the synopsis of Morrowind.
The ‘Rebirth’ mod is created by trancemaster_1988 and is a total overhaul of the base game which not only improves upon its visuals and gameplay but introduces new areas, creatures, quests, weapons, spells and much more. Recently, update version 6.6 has been deployed which not only fixes reported bugs but also makes quality-of-life improvements such as rebalancing the game's spells, improving collision detection as well as improving models for weapons and various other in-game items.
The ‘Rebirth’ mod is available for the PC version of Morrowind and if you’ve even been tempted to experience this cult classic this mod provides the best version of the game possible.
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is available on PC and Xbox. What’s more, it’s backwards compatible with Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and Xbox 360, and it’s included in the Xbox Game Pass subscription at no extra cost.
