Ahsoka just introduced a familiar Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order group into live-action

If you’ve played Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and you’re up to date on the opening two episodes of Ahsoka, you may have found yourself recreating the Leo pointing meme.

Ahsoka appears to be the fresh lease of life that the Star Wars franchise needed. Don’t get me wrong, I think the last Star Wars outing, Andor, is amongst one of the greatest there is. The issue is, The Book of Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi left so many fans feeling franchise fatigue that Andor didn’t exactly pull in the viewers it deserved. Ahsoka seems to have struck both chords. It’s oh so very excellent (so far anyway) and it’s drawing viewers in too, restoring their interest in the franchise. In fact, it’s the best-rated Star Wars outing since Return of the Jedi according to fans. Fans of EA’s Jedi: Fallen Order game would’ve been extra excited though at the introduction of the Nightsisters of Dathomir.

The Nightsisters are introduced in Fallen Order primarily through Merrin, who later goes on to become one of our travelling companions (and the best one at that). Well, the Nightsisters have now finally made their live-action debut. Light Ahsoka spoilers lie ahead. As reported by ComicBook, during the opening episodes, Baylan Skoll (Ray Stevenson) and Shin Hati (Ivanna Sakhno) spend time tracking down Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto).

It’s later revealed that Morgan is none other than one of the Nightsisters of Dathomir. It’s an interesting development because we were led to believe that Merrin was one of the last surviving Nightsisters, but it turns out Morgan survived too. Are there more Nightsisters out there?

If you don’t know, in the Star Wars canon, Nightsister leader Mother Talzin was the mother of Darth Maul. She encouraged him to become Darth Sidious’ apprentice, leading to a conflict between Count Dooku and Asajj Ventress causing Darth Sidious to attempt to wipe out all of the Nigthsisters. I wish we’d got a live-action Merrin. Perhaps one day.
