Batman: Secrets Of The Dark casts Colman Domingo as the Dark Knight

Riddle me this

An upcoming Batman audio drama has cast their Dark Knight, none other than Colman Domingo from Fear the Walking Dead.

Domingo is the latest actor to put on the cowl and face off against the Riddler. The drama, titled The Riddler: Secrets in the Dark will feature Hasan Minhaj as the question mark adorned villain and bring the hero and villain into a begrudging partnership.

A mysterious masked vigilante is running wild across Gotham and Batman is the lead suspect - not far off given his own vigilante status - and to clear his name, he must form a duo with the ever tricksy Riddler.

Domingo is known for his gruff and gravely voice that always brings a level of gravity to his roles, so it seems an ideal fit for the world's greatest detective. The actor has a string of brilliant roles through his career, including appearances in Lincoln, Selma, Candyman and Euphoria.

Minaj, who plays The Riddler, comes from a comedy background and has a flair for punchlines, meaning we may see a more humorous slant on this legendary antagonist.

The new drama will premiere on Tuesday, 10 October exclusively on Spotify. The drama is set to last eight episodes and will feature an ensemble cast made up of Hannah Simone, Calum Worthy, Gina Rodriguez, Jason Isaacs, Ashly Burch and Jim Pirri.

This is the third time Warner Bros. and Spotify have teamed up to deliver a new DC Comics drama. The Riddler: Secrets in the Dark follows on from the successes of Batman Unburied and the seven-episode series, Harley Quinn and The Joker: Sound Mind.

The new series comes from the mind of David S. Goyer who wrote and produced Batman Unburied, as well as several comic book properties across his career, and is notable for his extensive work in film, TV, and video games.
