Yesterday Amazon Prime Video shared a first-look at the new live-action Fallout series in action, with a new two-minute teaser trailer.
Earlier in the week Amazon and Bethesda shared some on-set snapshots of Fallout, eliminating any doubt in our minds that the show would be anything but a faithful adaptation of the beloved RPG series.

The images showed the series’ new protagonist, a few glimpses at post-apocalyptic Los Angeles, some soldiers sporting the iconic Power Armour, and a Ghoul who’ll likely play an important character in the show.

Now, taking a look at the full trailer we can see some of these characters in action, and I’ve got to say it looks absolutely fantastic, and will likely give HBO’s The Last Of Us a run for its money in terms of being a faithful adaptation.
Starting off like basically every Fallout game, the main character stands before the gigantic metal door of their vault, which slides open revealing the war-torn lands left behind after the nuclear bombardment. As she wanders out into the wasteland it seems she encounters a bit of trouble, and is possibly rescued by a man with a dog, who informs her of the harsh world she’s just stepped out into.
Following this is an assortment of shots set to the stellar tune I Don't Want To See Tomorrow by Nat King Cole, featuring the Brotherhood of Steel, Western-style shootouts, and some of the horrifying mutated creatures who call the wasteland home.
It’s safe to say the team behind the show has outdone themselves with the accuracy to the games, as the whole thing just screams Fallout, down to the sets, costumes, combat and those classic tunes.

Fans won’t have too long to wait to watch the show either, as the Fallout TV series will be premiering exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on 12 April 2024.
