Ghost Of Tsushima meets Game Of Thrones in new 100% rated series

Ghost Of Tsushima meets Game Of Thrones in new 100% rated series

New FX show is an absolute banger

A new FX limited series debuting on Disney+ has received a 100% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. Easily a highlight of 2024, even this early in the year, the show even has a 95% from the audience making it a smash-hit.

Shogun is a show that, on the surface, looks like a combination of Game of Thrones and Ghost of Tsushima; a Japanese epic set in 1600 as “Lord Yoshii Toranaga is fighting for his life as his enemies on the Council of Regents unite against him”

Ghost of Tsushima is soon to receive an adaptation after it's success for PlayStation

Everything from the costumes to the cinematography looks to be a standout in a wonderful drama that will have viewers hooked from the first episode. The story is told from several viewpoints and spins a web of mystery and intrigue bolstered by plenty of action-packed moments.

Critics are unified in their praise saying things like, “Shogun is a GROUNDBREAKING masterwork of gorgeous visuals and unforgettable performances that is sure to be one of the best series of 2024.” Another critic explains, “The period accurate details are rich. The landscapes are a sensory feast. The acting is awesome.”

I don’t know about anyone else, but I’ll be watching this show just as soon as I’ve got time to binge it. Even the posters for the show make it look like an epic must-watch. If you’re a fan of traditional Japanese tales, this is going to be one to watch as soon as possible. Looking to another critic we learn that “The painstaking effort to root this vast saga in the specificities of era and culture is part of what makes Shōgun so compelling.”

Let’s just hope that the Ghost of Tsushima adaptation does half as well as Shogun and shows that more games can be easily transported to the screen and have viewers in awe.
