Lara Croft will star in a new Tomb Raider anime, with an official teaser trailer set to premiere later this month.

It’s been a great month for Tomb Raider fans so far. Not only did we get a Lara Croft crossover in Call Of Duty Warzone, but we also got the unexpected announcement of her original trilogy being remastered for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox platforms.

Check out the trailer for Tomb Raider: Trilogy Remastered below.

There’s also the promise of a new game currently in development with Crystal Dynamics, which will reportedly utilise Unreal Engine 5.

While fans wait for more information on the new game, they’ll likely want to turn their attention to Netflix, which isn’t far off releasing a brand-new anime about Lara Croft and her adventures, with a teaser due very soon.

The Netflix Drop 01 promotional video featured some secret messages, suggesting the Tomb Raider anime will receive its first teaser trailer sometime during the broadcast. The messages were ‘this September’ and ‘epic raider’, seemingly confirming that a teaser will definitely be shown.

The series will supposedly take place after Shadow Of The Tomb Raider, and will star the brilliant Hayley Atwell, best known for her role as Peggy Carter/Captain Carter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and her recent role as Grace in Mission Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part 1.

Apparently, the series will unite all previous timelines and iterations of the Tomb Raider series, meaning the original stories from the PlayStation 1 games, the modern Survivor trilogy, and the Legend trilogy.

Sounds like the show has some ambitious plans and a lot of potential to be one of the greatest Tomb Raider stories ever told.

In the meantime, fans will have to keep their fingers crossed and their eyes peeled for the release of new info, though it’s highly likely we’ll get at least a glimpse of the anime during Netflix Drop 01.
