Ubisoft's Star Wars Game Just Got A Small But Significant Update

Ubisoft's Star Wars Game Just Got A Small But Significant Update

Development on Ubisoft's upcoming untitled open-world Star Wars game is progressing nicely.

Star Wars fans have lots to look forward to when it comes to video games. We finally know that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is scheduled to release in March 2023, but there’s plenty to come beyond that. There’s Quantic Dreams’ Star Wars Eclipse, Amy Hennig’s EA project, and an unnamed Ubisoft title. Information on the latter has been thin on the ground to date, but development on the game is finally inching forwards.

Refresh your mind and check out the epic trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor below.

All we really know about Ubisoft’s Star Wars game is that it’s due to have an open-world but to date, Ubisoft has been playing their cards close to their chest. Naturally, us video game fans begin to worry when we go too long without an update but as spotted by GGRecon, progress on the same seems to be steadily plodding along.

Ubisoft Toronto has recently put out a series of job listings, recruiting programmers and project managers to work on their untitled Star Wars project. Unsurprisingly, the job listings themselves don’t give much away but they do tease that those hired will be “working together with the team at Massive Entertainment to create a new story-driven open-world video game set in the Star Wars galaxy,” which backs up what we already know.

There are a ton of Star Wars related jobs listed on the site which is great news for development. We’re probably still several years away from release but hey, good things come to those who wait, right?
