Ubisoft's Avatar game just got a major free download you can grab now

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora just received a major update featuring a ton of bug fixes and quest adjustments.

It certainly feels as if Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora flew under the radar a little bit. I don’t think it helped that the game was released on the same day that The Game Awards were held. Headlines centered on the ceremony’s winners and world exclusives far more than they did on the game’s release. If you haven’t yet picked up Frontiers of Pandora though, I can recommend it. It’s an enjoyable game, dare I even say underrated.

As for the latest update, you’ll need 7.1GB of room on PlayStation 5, 9.4GB on Xbox, and 9.6GB on PC. According to the patch notes, the update adds the option to enable Motion Aiming with the DualSense controller, adds new motion blur settings to control the overall strength, adds the ability to control camera motion blur separately from object motion blur, adds the option to hide gear level and mods, allows you to access stashed items directly when using a Crafting Table, Cooking Station or Community Basket, makes the combat challenge on Medium and Low difficulty more accessible, improves Na’vi Sense navigation, improves visibility of clues, makes tweaks to enemy reinforcements, and makes tweaks to stealth gameplay.

And those are just the ‘notable’ improvements. The patch also improves the aim assist, stability, and general use of several weapons, and improves the stability of a number of traversal techniques. This is an addition to increasing the stash capacity from 200 to 250, boosting haptic effects, tweaking the placement of quest markers, and generally improving the UI.

Throw in a bunch of bug fixes and quest-related balance changes, and you can see what a whopper of an update this is. The full patch notes are available now and the update should be ready to download as of this morning.
