We're now well past the point of the year that Activision would usually have announced its new Call Of Duty game, and fans are starting to get a little twitchy.

Multiple reports and rumours seem to agree that the 2020 installment is being developed by Treyarch, and that it's going to be a reboot of the Black Ops franchise. But outside of a handful of Easter eggs and teases in Call Of Duty: Warzone and Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare, we've yet to hear anything official.

The good news is that this may be about to change very soon. A new listing has appeared over on the Xbox Store for a mysterious game called The Red Door, and everyone seems to agree that it's some kind of teaser for Call Of Duty 2020. While the name might seem slightly innocuous at first glance, there are few things that connect this listing to Call Of Duty - starting with the fact that The Red Door was reportedly the code name for the upcoming game's internal Alpha test last month.

At the time of writing, the listing is still available to view right here, and contains a few clues that further link it to Call Of Duty. For a start, the game is rated 18 in the UK for "extreme violence", and is apparently a shooter from Activision Publishing Inc. a PS4 listing for The Red Door has also been spotted on Serial Station.

A quick glance at the system requirements also specify that you'll need at least 81GB of space... I don't know many franchises that guzzle up room on hard drive quite like Call Of Duty, do you?

"There is more than one truth," reads the description underneath the listing. "If you go looking for answers, be ready to question everything and accept that nothing will ever be the same. The Red Door awaits, do you dare step through it?"

The listing also contains one screenshot, which you can see below. A keyhole that peers through a red maze is the focus of the image. The game's logo also features, and the letters seem to contain what looks like a map? I can't quite work it out myself, but that's what it looks like to me.

So just what is going on? One leaker on Twitter (ModernWarzone) has suggested that we might be getting a Call Of Duty 2020 reveal today (July 16th). However, they also claim to have heard from separate sources that the reveal has been pushed back to August.

Could The Red Door be a beta, or some kind of demo? With an 81GB file size that seems highly unlikely. We'll just have to keep an eye on this listing for now, but it seems like that Call Of Duty 2020 reveal is finally on the horizon.
