You might not know his name but you'll certainly know his voice if you are a Halo hotshot. In this heartwarming video, voice actor Jeff Steitzer (who has been the announcer for all of the Halo games) expressed his support for trans people everywhere and players are so thrilled.
Cameo is a video-sharing website which allows fans to contact celebrities for personalised shoutouts from their favourite famous faces. Birthday wishes, pep talks, memes, messages of congratulations, and even relationship advice, the talent on Cameo ranges from Sarah Palin, Gary Busey, Tom Felton to Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Cameo is also the reason why we have an excellent alarm clock recording of Red Dead Redemption 2's Arthur Morgan (played by Roger Clarke) telling you to "get out of bed you lazy b*stard." Ah, video games.
Halo Infinite's first flight for the multiplayer mode happened over the weekend and Dean and Tom were very impressed. Check out their comments here and watch a compilation of incredible wins and fails below.

Steitzer, who has featured as the booming voice of the announcer in every Halo title from Halo 3 to Halo Wars 2 and now Infinite, was asked by a customer on Cameo to say "trans rights." However, Steitzer went off script, so to speak, to offer his perspective on marginalised identities and the unfortunate conflicts that come with these in a prejudiced society.
"Normally what I would do in one of these videos for Cameo would be a recording of some of the things I've said over the years in the game - stuff like 'double kill', 'triple kill', 'killing spree', 'slayer'," started the voice actor and clarified that he would be doing a "different kind of recording" for this customer.
"I have to say, I've been around for a while, I'm kind of old. I'm going to be 70 this coming November and I've seen an awful lot, and the struggle of trans people reminds me so much of all the other struggles I've been a witness to over the many years that I have been alive," he continued.

"I've watched the Black Americans' struggle, the Asian Americans, the Hispanic individuals, I've seen gays and lesbians, and Native Americans... and now I see trans folks like yourself who basically want nothing more than to enjoy the equality that everybody else aspires to, and which I for one think you should have."
"So, I am happy to say 'TRANS RIGHTS,'" concluded Steitzer. I typed that out in capitals so you could hear it in his voice in your head. You're welcome. "He's absolutely right," replied the official Xbox account to the video, and players have expressed their joy to hear the Halo announcer show his support. "[I] Am [a] Trans girl and I grew up with Halo. CE came out when I was 7 so I've been hearing Jeff's voice pretty much my whole life," said Twitter user @NHantomei. "He was always awesome, but now he's a hero to me. Or should I say he's a Spartan to me?"
