Now, Alexandre "gAuLeS" Borba reigns supreme. As much as one can reign supreme on an ever-shifting platform subject to significant changes such as these.
It might surprise you to learn that the Brazilian streamer has been involved in esports for the past 20 years and his presence on the scene has led to partnerships with Formula 1, NBA and Nike. Originally, Borba was a professional Counter Strike player and then turned his attention to coaching his own team g3nerationX and MIBR. He paused his career for a few years for a degree in marketing and then returned to esports in 2010, achieving the successful relaunch of g3x as a brand in 2015. Borba's experience and guidance has been crucial in the trajectories of players like Vito "kNgV-" Giuseppe, Lucas "steel" Lopes and Gabriel "NEKIZ" Schenato.

Last month's CS:GO IEM Rio Major saw Borba dominate the coverage of the event, with his skill and his co-streaming live from the stadium itself. Dexerto notes that he has surged to the top of the most-watched list before, however, it is unlikely that the Brazilian streamer will stay there. Borba's rise is dependent on events like this tournament while Lengyel streams frequently and plays a variety of games.

Lengyel even drew thousands and thousands of views for his room-cleaning stream where the audience passed judgement on the sheer scale of the mess and the fact that he didn't know how to do his laundry. Well, based on that, it looks like Borba might have the advantage if he shows off a spotless house and an excellent grasp of detergent types.
