One prank YouTuber’s antics seriously backfired after he attempted to hit on a married woman as a joke in one of his videos, and ended up having his microphone thrown into the sea.
As Dexerto reports, Seth Meiring, who has over 37K subscribers on YouTube at the time of writing, published a video in late February titled ‘Simp Assaulted Me’. In the video, Meiring is seen approaching a married woman on a beach (who was sat with her husband), and asking: “Sorry, I just seen [sic] you over here and I just thought I had to stop and ask for you if I could get your phone number?”
After this, Meiring was told that the man she was sat with was her husband, so he apologised and walked away. However, after hitting on yet another woman for the video - which resulted in her boyfriend asking him to “back the f**k off” - the same husband from before approached Meiring and his cameraman and told the pair to “take your f**king camera and get the f**k out of here”.

The man then told the pair that they were “harassing people”, and when the camera wasn’t removed from his face, he grabbed Meiring’s microphone and threw it into the sea. Meiring screamed, and then called the police.
Over the phone, Meiring alleged: “I was just out here filming a video and a man assaulted me, and he ripped the microphone off my camera and threw it into the ocean.”
When the police showed up, however, they were quick to take the side of the people Meiring had been filming: “You are more or less provoking somebody to make a move and then you could record it, correct?” one officer said to Meiring.
The police continued: “You’re both being trespassed from this park. Have you ever been trespassed before?”

Meiring has continued to post more prank videos to YouTube since the incident, so it clearly hasn’t slowed him down.
