If you’re a nostalgic fan of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, chances are you’ve at some point encountered the fan-made Unreal Engine 5 remake floating around on the internet. The project has been in the works for some time now - it first began in Unreal Engine 4 before being ported over to the newer engine, and it looks positively gorgeous for it.
Its creator goes by CryZENx on YouTube, and over the last few months, they’ve even added functional co-op to the game. No, seriously - I never thought that Ocarina of Time could even work in this way, but it looks incredibly fun, and makes me hope that we might get co-op in another official Zelda game at some point in the future. Four Swords remake, anyone?

As DSOGaming reports, CryZENx has just released a new video of the project, showcasing the newly improved Temple of Time. Link’s face has also been tweaked, and he definitely looks way nicer for it - the creator explained that they’ve remade it from scratch based on Link’s original model. There’s no question that tonnes of work has gone into this - it genuinely looks better each time we see it, and it’s amazing to think it’s all been put together by just one person. At the time of writing, the Unreal Engine 5 version of the project hasn’t been released, but those who join the creator’s Discord server can get access to the Unreal Engine 4 project for free. Perhaps playing through that will help pass some time until the release of Tears of the Kingdom - the sequel to Breath of the Wild is currently set to release on 12 May 2023, and I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say that date can’t come soon enough.
