This year will see another release in the Call of Duty series, which should come as no surprise to those who follow the franchise. After all, other than an odd exception, we’ve pretty much had a new Call of Duty game every year since its inception in 2003.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will be the game of 2023, a reimagining of MW3 (2011) of the rebooted series which began in 2019. However, for the first time in the Modern Warfare series, MWIII will have its own Zombies mode and it will be open world. While we’re yet to see actual gameplay for the new Zombies mode, Activision has released an intense cinematic trailer that certainly helps to set the tone.

Zombies in Modern Warfare III will have a new telling of the Dark Aether story and will have ties to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Vanguard, as well as the recent reboots.

“The Zombies experience arrives in the Modern Warfare universe as a team of multi-national Operators assist the members of Task Force 141 against vast undead hordes brought on by a second major enemy threat,” reads the description of the highly anticipated iteration of Zombies.
Developed by Sledgehammer Games, the Modern Warfare III single-player campaign will see the return of the series villain, Vladimir Makarov. Will Captain Price, Lieutenant Simon “Ghost” Riley and Sergeant John “Soap” MacTavish be able to save the day once more? Only time will tell.
Aside from an over-the-top and high-octane single-player campaign and Zombies, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will be a packed release with the addition of its traditional multiplayer modes which features 16 remastered maps from MW2 (2009), not to mention Warzone.
In other news, an insider claims that Zombies will soon be getting it's own beta, and as with previous releases, Modern Warfare III will also be having a multiplayer beta and the dates have been revealed.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will be released on 10 November 2023 for PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
