Baldur’s Gate 3 players have found the best quest in the game, finding a stray cat a new home.
There isn’t a single reason why Baldur’s Gate 3 doesn’t deserve to win 2023’s Game Of The Year award as it’s probably one of, if not the best, RPGs ever made.

Despite outrage that other RPGs like Starfield and Hogwarts Legacy haven’t been nominated for the prestigious award, there’s no doubt Baldur’s Gate 3 deserves to be up there. This is despite it not being available to everyone yet, as Xbox fans are still waiting for its release date.

When Xbox players finally join the party, they’ll undoubtedly want to know about one of the best quests in the game, which some players have only just discovered hundreds of hours into their playthroughs.
The quest is unmarked and starts around Act 3, but only if you’ve done a specific action all the way at the beginning of the game. It was shown off by the YouTuber DragonsDream, who posted a tutorial on how to find a very important cat.
When you find the cat, you can rehome the cute little fella by giving him to the character Derryth Bonecloak. When you first meet Derryth in Act 1, she gives you a quest to find her missing husband. If for whatever reason you don’t complete this quest, or do something to make her husband disappear, Derryth will want to adopt the cat in Act 3.
The game doesn’t tell you any of this, so it's quite extraordinary that someone was able to figure it out, as Derryth’s quest is incredibly easy to complete so the majority of players likely won’t have been given the option to place the feline friend under her care.

Baldur’s Gate 3’s cat quest is just another shining example of the secrets players can encounter, some of which are only just being discovered after 400 hours of playtime.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently available on PC and PlayStation 5, with an Xbox Series X/S version coming by the end of the year.
