Bully 2: Jimmy Hopkins actor urges Rockstar to make the sequel

Bully 2: Jimmy Hopkins actor urges Rockstar to make the sequel

Rockstar Games, hear this plea!

Once again, the call for Bully 2 to become a reality rings across the video games community. It’s a rallying cry that has gained momentum of late, with fans never giving up hope that one day the game they dream of will appear before them.

The latest demand comes from the original Bully’s Jimmy Hopkins actor, Gerry Rosenthal. Rosenthal’s enthusiastic video imploring Rockstar Games to reconsider this franchise has garnered attention from fans, though, currently, the tweeted video only has 1,517 likes. Although we suspect that number will grow the longer this video is out in the wild.

Watch the Bully trailer and imagine what could be in a sequel.

“Rockstar, please make BULLY 2, for the love of god! People want to play it. It means a lot to a lot of people,” reads the caption, with those same words repeated vehemently throughout the video. Rosenthal is so passionate about this project that they’re not even bothered if they’re re-cast – “You don’t have to cast me in it” – they simply just want the sequel to finally happen. Now, that’s loyalty to a fandom right there.

Could the actor’s plea finally be listened to? It’s possible, at least according to the latest Bully rumours online. According to an insider, the release of GTA 6 will be followed by Bully 2, though nobody from Rockstar Games has officially confirmed this. We’re not sure they will confirm it soon, if ever, considering that GTA 6 is still very much the main focus right now, and even that’s been a long, drawn-out project. So much so that one fan climbed onto the Gamescom 2023 ONL stage to say “Bill Clinton wants to play GTA 6" before being removed by security.

There’s no denying that the love for Rockstar is palpable – Red Dead Redemption shot to the top of PlayStation charts with its new port. However, while the publisher is one of the best in the business, it already has several other franchises to focus on that have more traction than Bully. It sucks to hear, even more so to write it in black and white, but it’s a truth that we’re going to have to get comfortable with.

Until Rockstar Games tells us otherwise, all rumours about Bully 2 need to be regarded as gossip.
