Call Of Duty Warzone 2 Season 2 has been delayed

Call Of Duty Warzone 2 Season 2 has been delayed

It's been confirmed that season two of Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare II has been delayed by two weeks, but big changes are coming.

Bad news for Call of Duty players - season two of both Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 has been pushed back, but a new release date is in sight.

As PlayStation Universe reports, season two was initially planned to launch at the start of February, but has been delayed, seemingly as a result of player feedback. Many have been seriously unimpressed with Warzone 2.0, with some uninstalling the game until improvements are made, so it sounds like the devs have been hard at work trying to rectify the situation.

Take a look at some of our favourite wins and fails from the original Warzone below.

In a statement posted to Twitter, the official Call of Duty account confirmed that season two is now planned to launch on 15 February: “Our studio teams have been making several changes based on what we have heard from our player community,” the statement reads. “Season two includes all new content, with the return of Resurgence and a brand new small map for Warzone 2.0. Ranked play is also back and coming to MWII, along with new multiplayer maps, new modes, weapons and much more. Stay tuned for additional intel.”

Although the delay is a bit disappointing, at least it sounds like it’ll be worth the wait with both Resurgence and Ranked play making a grand return. Whether that’ll be enough to bring back all the people who already uninstalled Warzone 2.0 is another matter - even Dr Disrespect believes that it’s “the worst Call of Duty ever”, and won’t last much longer as a result.

I can only imagine that it’s to the relief of gamers’ partners everywhere that the season launches the day after Valentine’s Day, too - I dread to think about the relationships that could have suffered had it released on the day instead.
