The Call Of Duty franchise is in something of a shambles right now, if you hadn't noticed.
Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare, Call Of Duty: Warzone, and Call Of Duty: Vanguard have all been riddled with bugs, glitches, and error messages in recent weeks. Unexpected crashes, long queue times, endless error messages - it's a real grab-bag of nonsense, and players are getting sick of it.
I should point out that these issues have emerged at a time where Activision is attempting to deal with mass developer walkouts over the state of its current leadership, allegations of harassment, and the mass firing of Raven Software's Quality Assurance team.
Unfortunately, a motivated QA team would probably be just the ticket for Call Of Duty: Warzone right now. According to Charlie Intel, the free-to-play battle royale has gotten so bad that some Xbox players can't even load the damn game.
Xbox players have been hit hardest by the latest wave of Call Of Duty glitches, and things don't seem to be easing up at all. Reddit user Darknesgamer36 showed off the latest glitch, explaining that after making it to the ‘Connecting to Xbox Live’ screen, Warzone restarts, essentially trapping them in an endless loop.
Several other users have confirmed that they're facing the exact same problem, with Ramuh-DH claiming it happens to “nearly everyone on Xbox consoles.”
Given the fact that Microsoft literally just announced it plans to buy Activision for nearly $69 billion, you'd hope that Call Of Duty can get itself together for Xbox players sooner rather than later.
