Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update finally lets you kill the game's most-hated character

Finally!

With an open world featuring many annoying characters, the latest Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 Update has you covered by finally allowing you to kill one of the most-hated NPCs.

Cyberpunk 2077’s latest free update just dropped and players are diving back into the lawless Night City. With brand new content as well as a whole revamped experience, fans are hunting down those new features which includes finding out that one of the game’s most-hated characters is now killable.

Spoilers for Cyberpunk 2077 below.

The character in question is none other than Fingers – the ripperdoc who is complicit in Evelyn Parker’s tragic death. In one mission where V is looking for Evelyn, she ends up interrogating the ‘doctor’. During this interrogation, he reveals in no simple terms that he sold Evelyn when he longer had any use for her and as a result, she continued a life of abuse. Additionally, there are other mentions of his creepy acts such as harassing and blackmailing sex workers.

Although he could have been taken out in the base game, he was also the one vendor who had an impressive stock of legendary cyberware. As a result, many simply had to keep him alive in order to access his wares. However, with the arrival of Update 2.0 and the news that cyberware stock is distributed across all ripperdocs, he is no longer needed, and fans are eager to deliver justice.

Players have taken to r/cyberpunkgame on Reddit to post videos of the many unique ways they are dispatching Fingers and it’s clear many have waited for this moment. With Night City full of predators such as him, it’s nice to see CD Projekt Red giving players the ability to clean them out without having it affect their experience.

Update 2.0 has also given nods to the tragic fates of some of the Cyberpunk Edgerunners characters as well as access to brand-new quests and an outstanding new vehicle.
