Cyberpunk 2077 publisher giving away classic open-world RPG free

Cyberpunk 2077 publisher giving away classic open-world RPG free

A free classic game you can play now

In the early days of the Elder Scrolls franchise, the games were exclusively released on PC and had a passionate fanbase well before Skyrim was even a possibility. You can now get one of those early gems completely free thanks to GOG.

CD Projekt Red, owners of GOG.com and developers of The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 are giving away one of the classics from The Elder Scrolls, the second game in the series, Daggerfall. In order to claim the game and keep it forever, you simply need a GOG account set up before you click the purple ‘buy now’ button.

Skyrim is the standout title from The Elder Scrolls series

As you might expect from an Elder Scrolls game, Daggerfall is huge. According to the website How Long To Beat completing everything in the game will take you around 292 hours. This is because Daggerfall was the first game in the series to really focus on branching side quests, and deep exploration, but also introduced the guilds that so many fans enjoy interacting with.

As with other games of the series, you will create your own character down to their race and background, and through them, you will interact with thousands of NPCs, and explore various towns and points of interest, too.

The franchise is known for its stories and Daggerfall does not disappoint, adding plenty of character and charm to the world of Tamriel. If you’ve played Oblivion and Skyrim, this is a great chance to not only see where many of the tropes you love came from but also find out more about the world you’ve grown to adore.

Daggerfall offers you an opportunity to adventure in total freedom within a world where you destiny is of your own making and consequence evolves from your decisions. A world of love and darkness, magic and sorcery.”
