Years after a beloved video game has been released, it would be safe to assume that the chances of additional content would have long passed. Thankfully, that never seems to be the case with the PC modding community.
Released in 2010 and developed by Obsidian Entertainment, Fallout: New Vegas is one of the most cherished entries in the Bethesda RPG post-apocalyptic series. On Metacritic, the Fallout spin-off scored quite favourably being rated from the low to mid-80s. To think that it initially started life as an expansion.
Taking place four years after the events of Fallout 3 in the year 2281, Fallout: New Vegas takes you to the wastelands of Arizona, California and Nevada, in which raiders and mutants are causing mayhem in its harsh new world.

Post-launch, Fallout: New Vegas was supported with a wealth of new expansions that added even more life to what was already a deep game full of rich content. All of Fallout: New Vegas’s content was later bundled into one joyous package in 2011 with its ‘Ultimate Edition’.
Yet, as reported by DSOGaming, despite being 12 years since the release of Fallout: New Vegas - Ultimate Edition, this RPG is still benefiting from tons of new quests and content, thanks to its devoted fans.
Created by modder ‘NKFC’, Fallout: New Vegas - Out of Bounds is inspired by the online urban legend, The Backrooms.
It is said: “If you’re not careful and you noclip out of reality in the wrong areas you’ll end up in the Backrooms, where it’s nothing but the stink of old moist carpet, the madness of mono-yellow, the endless background noise of fluorescent lights at maximum hum-buzz.

“God save you if you hear something wandering around nearby because it sure as hell has heard you.” It sounds like a wonderful place to visit, not!
So going by the lore of The Backrooms, we can expect a major dose of supernatural suspense in the Fallout: New Vegas - Out of Bounds mod. This DLC-sized mod will require you to scavenge for resources to build weapons to help you fight enemies that lurk within its halls.
The mod also brings a total of six new quests, 17 new weapons as well as four new settlements. What's more, it even includes over 40 newly voiced NPCs and over 800 lines of dialogue. The mod is available to download now via Nexusmods.
In related news, a mysterious teaser for Fallout: New Vegas 2 appeared online, before being swiftly deleted further teasing fans desperate for the sequel. However, it seems that Obsidian Entertainment wants a Fallout: New Vegas remaster as much as we do.
