Over on Reddit, fans have been debating whether they’d like MWII to have a realistic or an arcade-inspired tone. As reported by Charlie Intel, user TheOujr posed the question, “Are you hoping that MWII is also realistic or would you prefer them to go back to arcadey style COD?”

At the time of writing, the poll has received over 4,000 votes with a majority voting for realism. Around 2,700 people voted for a realistic tone while the remaining 1,300 players voted for the arcade option. Naturally, fans flocked to the comments to debate the results.

C4LLUM17 wrote, “Game should have a more realistic look and tone and feel grounded but gameplay should feel arcadey. Basically like the classic CoD games such as COD4, BO1 and MW2,” but bb250517 argued, “MW titles should be as realistic as they can while still being fun to play.” It sounds like fans are actually hoping for a perfect blend of the two.
