I don’t know about you but I sometimes think dinosaurs make everything better. Luckily, the same sentiment appears to be shared by developer OMYOG which has created a game combining the prehistoric creatures with the much-loved Far Cry series.

FEROCIOUS is an upcoming FPS that “combines a sense of wonder of exploring a mysterious prehistoric island with over-the-top action gameplay”, according to the official Steam synopsis. Having received its first gameplay trailer back in June, the indie horror is still in the early stages of development but that hasn’t stopped players from rushing to wishlist it.

Beginning your adventure after a shipwreck, you must navigate a dangerous island filled with both monstrous dinosaurs and equally as monstrous mercenaries. As one of the few survivors, you must explore the secrets of the island as well as fight for your own survival as you navigate tricky terrain in a timeless “lost world” setting.

All you will have in order to stand before towering dinosaurs and blood-thirsty mercenaries are a wide arsenal of customisable weapons. However, with your observation skills, you may just be able to befriend the island’s prehistoric and fantastical creatures. Set in a world that is desperate to be explored, FEROCIOUS is the Far Cry fans have always wanted.

With OMYOG’s debut title inspired by a combination of adventure stories like King Kong and modern shooters such as Crysis, the intense jungle combat is guaranteed to keep you on your toes. Additionally, whether you take down enemies with stealth or all our gunfire, it is worth remembering that not everything in the jungle wants to kill you.

FEROCIOUS will relaese sometime in the future for PC and console. Until then, you can wishlist it on Steam and head over to Youtube to check out the official gameplay trailer.
