Take that, crime.

Mortal Kombat 11 DLC characters appear to be leaking left and right lately . Just days after fans uncovered yet more compelling evidence to suggest that Evil Dead hero Ash Williams would be making his way to the game , it's now looking like another cult sci-fi hero is joining the fray. It's... Rebecca V - no, I'm kidding. It's Robocop.

The first DLC pack for Mortal Kombat 11, Kombat Pack 1, featured a number of characters from outside the franchise. Specifically, Terminator, Joker, and Spawn. Naturally, it's been assumed that Kombat Pack 2 will feature a similar mix of original NetherRealm fighters and guest characters.

You might remember that of that original batch of contenders, not a single one ended up being a surprise. Dataminers uncovered evidence of the existence of each and every one quite a while before they were added to the game. Now, it looks like the exact same thing is happening with the participants of Kombat Pack 2.

Rumours of Robocops inclusion in the brutal fighting game have been floating around for a while now, although it's not entirely clear where these whispers originated. But once again, players have been combing through the files of the game and have found what some believe to be evidence confirming the existence of our friendly neighbourhood Robocop.

See, a character named as "ROB" has been discovered in the game's files right before Sheeva, another rumoured DLC fighter. Mortal Kombat 11 files reference each character by the first three letters of their name, so it's been speculated that "ROB" could well be Robocop.

Granted, this is hardly direct confirmation. "ROB" could very well be any number of things, including a brand-new character that we've never seen before. It could also just be a reference to a generic robot character. It could even be a reference to R.O.B from Super Smash Bros, but I admit that one is a bit of a long shot.

As always, we'll have to wait for official confirmation before we can say for sure. But since the vast majority of Mortal Kombat 11 characters have been discovered via the game's files up to this point, don't be too shocked if Robocop heads into battle soon.
