Hot on the heels (tracks?) of F1's announcement for the Esports Virtual Grand Prix series, Codemasters has announced that F1 2020 will be arriving in July. The newest instalment in the F1 series of games will feature a new team management mode and is heading to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Google Stadia.

The new management mode, My Team, will sit alongside the Career mode and offers "a unique insight into the world of F1" letting you manage your own team of drivers. Meanwhile, the tried and trusted Career Mode will give players a ton of options, including the choice of three different season lengths - you'll be able to pick either the full 22 race season or 16 and 10 race seasons which include the Hanoi Circuit as well as Circuit Zandvoort. Two-player split-screen will also return in F1 2020.

You can check out the announcement trailer above - or go here for a direct link. Pre-ordering the game will nab you a bunch of in-game goodies and you can check out the details over on the official website.

Additionally, an F1 2020 Deluxe Schumacher Edition is available for pre-order and, as the name suggests, will allow you to drive as Michael Schumacher and give you access to four of his best-known cars; 1991 Jordan 191, 1994 Benetton B194, 1995 Benetton B195, and 2000 Ferrari F1-2000. And if you're keen to get in on the action a little earlier, pre-ordering the Deluxe Schumacher Edition will net you a headstart with three days early access.

"As huge fans of F1, we continue to innovate and develop game modes that bring players even closer to the real-world sport," said Lee Mather, F1 Game Director at Codemasters in the press release. "We've also added new modes to enable more casual players to get up to speed more easily, and we've brought back split-screen for social play with friends. The additions reduce both the difficulty and time barrier to entry while retaining the car handling that our simulation players love."

F1 2020 is set for release on July 10, 2020.
