I don't think it's ever really applied to me, and while there might be commonalities between the people you've dated, they're all different people and it's reductive to boil them down to a certain look or a certain personality.
Now, video game characters, they're another kettle of fish. There are the tanks, brawny yet good-hearted. There are the mages, sassy and spontaneous. There are the villains- hey, no judgement here. But, who is the fairest of them all? This survey has revealed who the hottest video game characters are, and to be honest, you lot absolutely have a type.
The data comes from Good Luck Mate, who conducted the investigation using 20 fan sources and search results dredged from Google, and a running total was calculated based on how many times certain characters appeared in multiple lists or articles. Ladies first. The most attractive female video game characters are Lara Croft, Samus Aran, Jill Valentine, Chun Li, and Widowmaker. Alternatively, the hottest male video game characters are Link, Geralt of Rivia, Master Chief, Cloud Strife, and Sephiroth.

The archaeologist wears the crown on this list, scoring a search volume of nearly 170,000. That's three times the searches that Link got... actually, comparing the data between the genders, the female characters are getting loads more searches than the male characters. Huh. Wonder why that is. Anyway. The character has gone through a lot of redesigns over the years, from the bright blue swimsuit and teeny shorts to the rugged combat trousers and trusty ice pick.
And, it seems like gamers might have a type after all, based on the characters that appear here. Introduced in Metroid, the first time we saw Samus Aran was in her red and gold Varia Suit. It was only at the end of the game that we learned who Samus is. Similarly, Master Chief is hardly ever without his helmet and armour, and it's possible that gamers like that element of mystery.
The most attractive video game characters are almost all heroes of their stories, excluding Widowmaker and Sephiroth, showing that gamers are into nice gals and guys. Furthermore, they're all very good at what they do, be it monster-hunting, street-fighting, assassinating, what have you. So, we like an expert, and I'll bet they'll have amazing ideas for date night.

In his life, he was a Roman priest named Valentinus, and he restored the sight of a young blind girl by calling upon God. After this wondrous act, he would marry Christian couples in secret, owing to their persecution by the Emperor Claudius. I get the impression that he was a relatively chill man, and perhaps he would have been thrilled to officiate a wedding between a video game character and real human being.
