Twitch has dominated the gaming content creation world. The live streaming service owned by Amazon has become just as good as YouTube for discovering gaming content, personalities, and more. Of course, many of those who try streaming, aren't going to find a massive amount of success, but there are a few talented individuals that can make this platform their livelihoods, and be incredibly successful while doing it.
SavingSpot has done some research into who the most successful streamers are on Twitch in terms of revenue. They've come up with some interesting stats which tell us a little more about how the biggest streamers on the platform are performing.
If you know Twitch, then it might be no surprise to you that the biggest earner is Felix 'xQc' Lengyel. He's a Canadian ex-Overwatch pro player who has a massive following of 4.1 million people on Twitch. According to SavingSpot, he earns an estimated $1,984,001 per year from the platform alone.
Nick 'NickMercs' Kolcheff comes in second with an estimated $1,727,535 a year while in third is Spanish streamer Ibai Llanos who simply goes by Ibai and reportedly earns about $1,373, 605 a year.
If we're talking about top female streamers on Twitch, the highest earner is, of course, Pokimane who has recently put a limit on the amount viewers can tip during the stream. She apparently makes a cool $550,060 a year from streams while second place Amouranth makes around $384,599. Third goes to LilyPichu, who along with Pokimane, is a member of the content creation group Offline TV. Lily apparently makes around $339,354 a year.
It has to be noted though that these stats won't be the final results in terms of yearly earnings for these streamers. Imane 'Pokimane' Anys, for example, is involved as a creative director of Cloak, a fashion brand for gamers created by Mark 'Markiplier' Fischbach and Sean 'Jacksepticeye' McLoughlin. Other streamers have contacts with brands that support the stream for their viewership, like Raid: Shadow Legends, AimLabs, and food delivery companies.
These days the biggest names on Twitch have more than one source of income so these listings are nowhere near final in terms of how much these streamers are making. All we can say is that we respect the grind.
