Well that's one thing the Synder cut can fix.

If you've watched the original Justice League that came out all the way back in 2017, you might remember Henry Cavill's top lip looking a little - hm, off? The actor who plays Superman was at the centre of one of the biggest CGI problems in the film that was so noticeable it is credited with a lot of why Justice League (2017) isn't taken seriously, and why we're getting 2021's Zack Snyder's Justice League this month.

We are talking about the tache. His whiskers. His lip eyebrow (that's definitely not a thing). Henry Cavill was in the process of filming for two different major projects at the time. Of course, the one we're talking about, Justice League but he was also a main character in Mission Impossible: Fallout.

Paramount had dibs on Cavill first, and for his role in the Mission Impossible film, the behemoth movie makers wanted him to keep his facial hair, leaving Joss Whedon with a problem - how do you get rid of the tache? CGI it out of course. What could go wrong? Everything it turned out.

The footage used in the film made Cavill look like his face was having an allergic reaction and was slightly out of focus all the time. While the top half of his face was emoting naturally, the bottom half is still and pretty scary. Now some images have been leaked showing what Cavill really looked like under the layers of CGI, and well, yeah he's got a really solid tache on him.

It reminds me of seeing Chris Evan's Captain America with a beard - honestly, if Superman ever wanted to stop shaving, I think he could pull off a really good chin warmer. Soon, though, it'll be time to wave goodbye to the nightmare CGI lips of Cavill when Zack Snyder's Justice League comes out March 18. Thanks The Direct.
