Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong announced by DC

Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong announced by DC

The ultimate crossover will be upon us in October.

It’s official - Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong is happening, meaning we may finally found out what’d happen if Batman punched Godzilla directly in the face. Seriously, you can’t tell me that you haven’t thought about that before.

As IGN reports, the ultimate crossover between DC and Legendary Entertainment was revealed during San Diego Comic-Con. While we don’t know too many details about the synopsis yet, DC says that the premise is the result of a battle between the Justice League and the Legion of Doom opening a doorway to “the Monsterverse”, causing the largest lads, Godzilla and Kong (as well as a bunch of other monsters) to appear in the DC universe. Honestly, that sounds very silly, but in the best way possible.

Take a look at this amazing mod which adds Godzilla to GTA V below.

To be clear, this is a comic series - the story will take place over a total of seven issues, with the first one releasing this October. Brian Buccellato is the series’ writer, while Christian Duce and Luis Guerrero are two of the artists.

“As a comics fan, there’s nothing more fun and exciting than exploring those amazing ‘What if’ situations that come up when fandoms cross streams!” DC's president, publisher and chief creative officer Jim Lee wrote in a statement (via IGN) . “In this case, it’s a matchup of the world’s greatest superheroes in the Justice League who take on not only the King of the Monsters - Godzilla - but the mighty Kong himself! It’s a crossover no-holds-barred battle, decades in the making, and no bona fide comics fan will want to miss it!”

All in all, Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong sounds like it’s going to be a really fun time, and I for one can’t wait to see how the battle plays out.
