Michael B. Jordan has once and for all shut down the rumours that he'll be stepping into the role of Superman in DC's upcoming reboot. Reports had been circulating for several months that the Black Panther actor would be taking over the role in a new series of films that moved on from Henry Cavill's Man Of Steel.
Unfortunately, it seems this is not to be. Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter about his upcoming project Tom Clancy's Without Remorse, Jordan briefly addressed the Superman rumours and finally put them to rest.
While we wait for a new Superman to arrive in cinemas, check out this epic Superman-style video game that's currently in development below:
"I'm flattered that people have me in that conversation," Jordan said of the Superman rumours. "It's definitely a compliment, but I'm just watching on this one."

There we are then. The wait for a new Superman continues. If Henry Cavill coming back to the role is completely out of the question, I'd personally love to see Riz Ahmed take on the iconic superhero for the big screen. For now, unfortunately, we don't know much at all about what's planned.
Here's what we do know: Back in February it was confirmed that J.J Abrams (Star Wars Episode VII) would be producing a reboot for Warner Bros. Ta-Nehisi Coates, who penned some incredible comic book runs for both Black Panther and Captain America, is currently attached to write the script.
As mentioned, casting is completely unknown at this stage, but Jordan does hope that Warner Bros. brings in a Black Superman. With Anthony Mackie officially taking the mantle of Captain America from Chris Evans, it'd definitely be awesome to see some similar moves from DC in regards to its biggest heroes.

"I don't really know what is going with that in particular, but I think everybody's want and desire to see Black leads in heroic roles I think is really, really important," Jordan told Cinepop in a separate. "Representation is important."
For now, anyone looking for their Superman fix can turn to Zack Snyder's Justice League. The epic four-hour adventure is likely to be the last time we Henry Cavill in the role.
