New 'Fall Guys' Level Looks More Deadly Than Slime Climb

New 'Fall Guys' Level Looks More Deadly Than Slime Climb

Infuriating, yet fun is the mantra of Fall Guys it seems

We don't know about you, but we've been craving some new levels in Fall Guys. Mediatonic's hit party game has a lot going for it - fun colours, costumes, and golden crowns, but to keep an avid player base going, some new challenges would be good.

When Fall Guys came out there was such a scramble to master the art of the jellybeans that we've all quickly become rather good at running the existing levels, so the sneak peek from IGN is a welcome breath of fresh air.

Knight Fever looks like it could be the hardest of all Fall Guys levels yet. You thought See Saw was infuriating, or Slime Climb was devilish? This map looks like the next level of enraging.

The first obstacle is an upward sprint while axes try to lob you off the sides of the ramp, before you have to balance and bounce your way over two sets of rotating spike logs. More axes of death follow shortly, before you meet another spiked log swinging back and forth - bloodthirsty and looking to smush you and your brethren. Just before the end, there are a couple of automated drawbridges which we just know, someone else will push you off at the last second.

All-in-all, it's a lot to look at and a lot to navigate. Many opportunities for mean costumed, sentient tic-tacs to mess with your mojo but that's part of the Fall Guys charm isn't it? The excitement of almost making it through a round before crushing defeat is fantastic character building if nothing else.

Season 2 of Fall Guys isn't far off, and with it will come more maps and cosmetics - we can't wait. Halloween is just around the corner too so we expect spooky costumes to be making an appearance, but something tells us that a jellybean in zombie makeup isn't exactly going to give us a jumpscare.
