The hype train for Black Adam seems to be rolling on nicely as filming is about to begin on the DC film. We already know that Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has been working hard to get the script exactly as he wants it for when he plays Black Adam, and now he seems really excited to bring in another huge name to the project: Pierce Brosnan.
Brosnan is famous, of course, as one of the many faces of James Bond (and yes, GoldenEye 007 on the N64 is an absolute classic), and more recently his talent for singing Abba songs in Mamma Mia! and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. We only caught wind of the Die Another Day actor joining the cast of Black Adam a little while ago, and yet fans already can't wait to see him play DC's Dr Fate. Abba fans and DC fans alike are already screaming, *ahem*, 'Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!'.

The Rock has echoed these delighted sentiments with a new Twitter post. He says, "Such a pleasure to announce the final member of our Justice Society, the bad ass statesman, Mr Pierce Brosnan as the iconic and all knowing, Dr. Fate. I'm grateful to have such a talented, diverse and hungry cast."
I mean, Mr The Rock, sir... you could just feed them, you know? They don't have to be hungry.
Other cast members of Black Adam have also been revealed. We'll have Noah Centineo (To All The Boys I've Loved Before) as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell (Trinkets) as Cyclone, and Aldia Hodge (One Night in Miami) as Hawkman.
Well, The Rock seems to be confident in Black Adam's villainous powers already. In a recent Instagram post, the actor threatens not only the heroes from the DC universe, but also decides that he could put Marvel heroes "on notice", too. This didn't confirm a cross-over by any means, of course, but that doesn't make the sentiment any less menacing. We await the arrival of Black Adam - and Shazam had better look out.
