This Pokémon Chair Is Just A Massive Ditto, And I Need It

This Pokémon Chair Is Just A Massive Ditto, And I Need It

Is it appropriate to put your arse on a Pokémon?

If you know your Pokémon, you'll know all about Ditto. The purple, normal-type Pokémon has been a mainstay of the franchise since Generation 1 and, unlike many other Pokémon, doesn't evolve into an advanced form of itself. If you've got a Ditto, you've got a Ditto.

But how about a soft, squidgy, ever-so-snuggly Ditto? Well, you can have that too, now that Japanese company Cellutane has started selling what are, basically, Dittos that you can sit on. They're chairs, in the form of Dittos. Ditto Chairs. Is what they are.

And there's no other way to say this, but: we need one. Like, immediately. Just look at his little face, all ready to be sat on...

That said, hopefully there's some support, some kind of frame, inside this chair. That it can support an adult human in its publicity photos suggests: yes, you'll be safe from Ditto envelopment. But then, adverts can be deceptive - the only way to be sure is to park our backsides on this thing, for ourselves.

But to do so, we'll need to find 25,000 yen - which is the best part of £180. TBF, that's not that much for a quality piece of home furniture; but then there's the cost of getting it to the UK from Japan, which we don't want to begin thinking about. I guess we could try fitting it inside a Poké Ball and popping it in the post?

Cheers to @pokejungle on Twitter for alerting the world to this wonderful thing - which can be paired with Poké Ball beanbags/pouffes(?), too! And if you need even more Ditto in your soft furnishings, there's always this enormous cushion, too. Can you have too much Ditto? Don't be ridiculous. Or maybe a 1.5-metre-tall Dragonite plushie is more your thing? By now, let's be real, there's a Pokémon thing for everyone.

But if you're feeling a little...out of touch with Pokémon, these days, don't fret: the series is moving on from its hardcore fans, and that's fine.
