Chris Hemsworth Savagely Shuts His Kid Down For Saying He Wants To Be Superman

Talk about Thor losers.

Chris Hemsworth, perhaps better known around the world as Thor, Strongest Avenger, had some choice words to share after learning one of his kinds wants to be Superman when he grows up.

The God Of Thunder has been an integral part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2011's Thor, and the journey he's been on has arguably been the most fascinating of all the Avengers. From headstrong warrior, to reluctant king, to traumatised survivor, Hemsworth has taken Thor on a hell of a ride over the last decade. The upcoming Thor: Love And Thunder will reinvent the character once again, as a space explorer free from the shackles of ruling Asgard.

Take a look at this beautiful tribute to the last decade of Marvel movies - as well as a peek at what's to come - below!

With everything he's achieved as the Marvel superhero, it's no wonder Hemsworth was more than a little disappointed to learn that his kid would rather be the DC icon Superman when he grew up.

In a hilarious post on Instagram, Hemsworth wrote: "Holding my little man's hand and asking him the age old question. 'What do you want to be when you grow up?' 'Dad, I wanna be Superman,' Lucky I have two other kids."

Fingers crossed one of Hemsworth's other two kids is willing to say they want to be Thor when they grow up. At the very least they could do the poor guy the courtesy of lying about it. Let's just hope that none of them ever tell him they want to grow up to be Iron Man or Captain America - that might be too much for him to take.

We'll next see Hemsworth as Thor in his fourth solo movie Thor: Love And Thunder. The upcoming film is being helmed by Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi and stars Hemsworth alongside Chris Pratt as Star Lord, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, and Natalia Portman as Jane Foster. It's expected in cinemas May 6, 2022.
