High risk, high reward.

The latest update for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone is set to go live later today (April 28th). The new patch, which is part of the game's Season 3 content, seems to be something of a hefty beast clocking in at around 15GB... with seemingly very little to justify the meaty file size.

In an update on its blog, developer Infinity Ward outlined a few minor bug fixes, adjustments to the speed and size of the gas circle, and a few cosmetic items and bundles coming to the in-game store. It's not entirely clear why this is going to involve 15GB, but there are still a few exciting and potentially game-changing tweaks coming to Warzone in particular.

In addition to the aforementioned changes to the gas circle, which could have a huge impact on the speed and flow of the battle royale, we're also getting a new high-risk/high-reward Contract that could make games very interesting.

For those who aren't aware, Warzone players can earn money to buy weapons, kill streaks, and loadout drops. They can even earn enough to buy back fallen teammates, which means having plenty of cash is a huge advantage in each game. The best way to earn cash by far is take on Contracts.

Typically, taking on one of these Contracts alerts you to the rough position of an enemy player on the game's massive map. Take them out within the time limit and you earn a nice cash prize. Conversely, other teams can also take out Contracts that alert them to your rough position, and you'll have to deal with that till you've survived.

This new Contract adds a delicious twist to this formula: you'll be able to take out a bounty on yourself. The "Most Wanted" Contract will make you a target to all enemy teams on the map, which means a lot of force could converge on your position in a bid to take you out.

If that sounds rough as hell, that's because it's supposed to be - but the prize is immediate redeployment for all of your fallen teammates. In theory then, it sounds as if the Most Wanted contract is clearly supposed to be used as a Hail Mary. You're the last player standing in your team and have no cash to buy anyone back? Take the nearest Most Wanted Contract and fight to the death in a desperate last stand. I love the idea of this.

Most Wanted Contracts will be available in Solos, Trios, Quads, and Plunder Trios this week. No doubt about it, this is gonna lead to some intense firefights and I'm fully here for it.
