Gran Turismo 4 cheat codes have been found 20 years after it first launched for the PlayStation 2.
Considered by some to be one of the best games in the series, when Gran Turismo 4 was released for the PS2 in 2004, it was met with high critical acclaim. Judging by the Metacritic score alone, it earned an impressive 89 from critics and 8.8 from users.
What’s more, Gran Turismo 4 sold over six million units worldwide making it the third best-selling game in the Polyphony Digital series. Yet, despite its impressive sales, no one had discovered its batch of old-school cheat codes.

As reported by Push Square (via Reseteta), Twitter user Nenkai shared the illusive cheat codes leaving fans scratching their heads wondering how on earth they’ve remained a secret for nearly two decades.
The cheat codes “reward” players with 10 million Credits, and instant Licence passes all of which would have been very handy to know back in the day. However, Nenkai mentions that the cheat codes will only work once 365 in-game days have passed.

Sadly in this day and age, cheat codes are mostly a relic of the past in the era of microtransactions, especially when it comes to the most recent entry in the series, Gran Turismo 7 for PS5 and PS4.
