Leaked gameplay footage from GTA VI showing the game's incredible loading times and completely seamless transitions between the main characters has left fans floored.
GTA VI was officially announced as in development back in February 2022, and it was recently suggested we can expect the game no later than March 2025. A full reveal of the game is coming in December, but footage of an early build of the sequel made its way to the internet ages ago, confirming GTA VI is set in Vice City, and will feature two playable characters.

If you've ever played GTA V or GTA Online you'll probably be familiar with the game's egregious loading times, especially on last-gen hardware. While the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S ports have definitely made some improvements, we can all remember the lengthy waits to explore Los Santos.

The good news? GTA VI looks all like it'll be ditching those long-ass loading times. We all know already new-gen hardware is capable of amazing load times, but a slice of leaked footages shows just how truly seamless it could be in GTA VI.
The footage, which has since been taken down, shows the game's two protagonists hanging out in a motel. The game switches from Lucia to Jason in less than a second, before Jason heads outside to explore.
While the footage may have been pulled, fans were quick to remark on just how impressive the loading times were. It's worth stressing this is from an early build of GTA VI and may not be indicative of the final product. But given some of the amazing things we've already seen the PS5 and Xbox Series X do in regards to loading times, it wouldn't be out of the question to see the full game boast some neat tricks.
