Henry Cavill's latest video game obsession is a good one

Henry Cavill's latest video game obsession is a good one

The famously nerdy actor has revealed that he's been putting a lot of time into Total War: Warhammer 3 lately.

It’s no secret that Henry Cavill is a massive nerd. The guy spent his lockdown painting mini Warhammer figurines, previously took to Instagram to share his PC build, and earlier this year, spent time hanging out with fans at Warhammer World in Nottingham, because, if you’d not guessed already, he absolutely loves Warhammer.

Continuing that trend, as reported by PCGamesN, Cavill revealed that his current gaming obsession is Total War: Warhammer 3. Because he’s a man of culture, obviously.

Take a look at Henry Cavill's beautiful face being skilfully burned into wood below in this pyrography art.

While chatting with Happy Sad Confused podcast host Josh Horowitz, Cavill was asked how much time he’s been putting into gaming lately: “A fair amount – and when I say ‘a fair amount,’ that probably means a lot for those who don’t game,” he responded. “I’ve been playing […] Warhammer III, Total War. I love that game, it’s so good. It’s so good.”

He then went on to say how most of his friends and family are fully aware of his nerdy obsessions and are totally unfazed by it, but he’s occasionally had visitors at his house who he could tell at the time had no interest in his hobbies in the slightest.

Horowitz also asked if Cavill has ever had any interest in being a game developer himself, and although it’s not something he’s pursuing at the moment, the actor didn’t rule it out completely: “I don’t know. I think there’s so much work that goes into those, and I’m not too sure I want to peek too far behind the curtain and see all the ones and zeroes,” he said. “I’ll think I’ll leave that to all the experts and the coders out there. I’m going to appreciate their work, and let them do that. This is the one thing I think I want to stay on the outside of – for now.”
