Henry Cavill picks Yennefer every Witcher 3 playthrough

With every Witcher 3 playthrough, Henry Cavill picks Yennefer, the canon love interest. The man is loyal to his true love.

A lot can be said of Henry Cavill and his love of videogames and general nerd stuff. The Superman actor has spent many interviews waxing lyrical about his passion for gaming in all forms, be they video games or tiny plastic men in Warhammer. Let's be honest, watching him build a PC gets many of us hot under the collar.

Henry Cavill put everything into his role as Geralt for Netflix's The Witcher

The actor has so much love for The Witcher, having read all the books and played all the games, that he suited up as Geralt for Netflix's adaptation. Cavill knows his Witcher lore and that's likely why he always picks Yennefer when he plays the game.

He revealed this nugget in a past interview and said "For me, when I played the games, and especially when I read the books, it's always been... I felt true to Geralt's core that it's team Yennefer." Of course, it's well documented that Cavill is so loyal to Sapowski's books that it played a part in his departure from the Netflix show as they started to deviate too far from the source material.

In the interview, Cavill continued "Of course, the great thing about the games is that you can do whatever you want, but for me - even in the games - team Yennefer." Being able to romance Yennefer is only part of the third game but she makes such an impact that many players will choose her over her rival.

Season three of The Witcher recently came to a close with Cavill saying goodbye to Geralt. Liam Hemsworth will pick up the mantel in season four; I wonder which team he's on.
