Rahul Kohli wants to make a Warhammer series with Henry Cavill

Rahul Kohli, who you'll remember from iZombie, The Haunting of Bly Manor and Midnight Mass, has asked Henry Cavill if he'd be interested in making a new Warhammer movie or TV show and fans have gone feral.

Isn't the actor busy with that brand new Superman movie that was announced when Black Adam was in cinemas? Well, that's the verbal version of pouring lemon juice in a shotgun wound for DCU buffs. “I will, after all, not be returning as Superman,” confirmed Cavill following a statement from James Gunn and Peter Safran on the future of the cinematic universe. “After being told by the studio to announce my return back in October, prior to their hire, this news isn’t the easiest, but that’s life. The changing of the guard is something that happens.” In spite of the disappointment, Cavill commended the executives and wished everyone involved in the new DCU all the best.

So, expectedly, Cavill's calendar is emptier than he and his agent had anticipated. He also quit The Witcher as a result of a creative disagreement with the way that the series was panning out, and that was a major blow to the audience who can't imagine anyone else as Geralt of Rivia.

Swiftly, actor Rahul Kohli stepped into the spotlight to suggest that he and Cavill should team up and develop a new adaptation of the Warhammer universe, be it a feature-length film or a TV show. "Hey Henry, f*ck it, let’s make a Warhammer movie/limited series," said Kohli and the Tweet is still receiving thousands and thousands of interactions on the website. Actor Asa Butterfield has leaped into the fray too: "Please. I'll play a servitor if I have to."

Warhammer is one of Cavill's passions and should this collaboration come to pass, the actor would theoretically have a bit more of a say on its evolution and prevent any of these unfortunate outcomes like The Witcher and Superman from occurring again. Of course, all of this is up in the air right now, but screenwriter C. Robert Cargill has expressed interest in working with Cavill and Kohli on such a project. We'll have to wait and see.
